Why Haven't You Watched #MrNobody?

Mr. Nobody

Never before has a movie confused me, excited me, provoked thought as much as this movie. The 2009 movie Mr. Nobody is definitely worth watching during this lockdown.

Synopsis: A boy stands on a station platform as a train is about to leave. Should he go with his mother or stay with his father? Infinite possibilities arise from this decision. As long as he doesn't choose, anything is possible.

It starts off confusing as the scenes seem to be harp-hazard but as the movie progresses everything seems to fall into place. Imagine being able to see how your life would turn out with each decision you make. You have 3 possible options for a significant other, wouldn't it be great to experience how life would turn out with each of them? Each decision has a ripple effect on your future and this movie explores all those avenues. What if you had waited a little longer? What if you had gone straight home?

Jared Leto gives a very memorable performance, possibly the best of his career (I forgive him for the Suicide Squad) as the 34 year old and 118 year-old Nemo Nobody. Which is a strange name considering that Nemo is Latin for, you guessed it, nobody!

Yes this is a nerd movie, some may have to watch it more than once to fully get it. Hyper-time travel storytelling that takes us from death, before birth and everything else in-between. Without spoiling much it shows that our existence and who we have become is just the result of many seemingly small decisions we make and you may regret your decisions on how uncomfortable your situation is, but what this movie shows you that no matter how right your decisions are there is always going to be something wrong.

At the end of it all life is not about problem-solving and getting comfortable or reaching somewhere but it's the unpredictability of our life which makes us meet the right future. This movie will seriously change how you view life.
