Had to rewatch this one, just because. Leonardo DiCaprio and Christopher Nolan in one movie, c'mon that's a no-brainer. Touted as the best movie of the 2000s when it was released Inception was really ahead of the curve. This movie is so good I pray they don't taint it with a prequel/sequel.
Synopsis: Cobb steals information from his targets by entering their dreams. He is wanted for his alleged role in his wife's murder and his only chance at redemption is to perform the impossible, an inception.
DiCaprio definitely deserved an Oscar for this. Well, the movie itdelf did win 4 Oscars but still.... It's shocking that his only Oscar is for The Revenant when he has a catalogue of great movies (i.e The Great Gatsby, The Departed, Blood Diamond, The Wolf of Wallstreet etc.). Another actor raking up a mean catalogue is Tom Hardy who also put on a stellar performance in Inception.
I have said before and I will say it again, I do not believe in science fiction (this is just science disguised in form that is palatable to the general public. In a world where a robot gets citizenship and AIs can create their own languages not decipherable by humans are mind heists really a far-fetched idea?
